Theradome™ is pioneering breakthrough next-generation laser hair loss therapy fulfilling our mission to provide hair loss treatment that is safe, effective, convenient and affordable. Practicing hair loss specialists and industry-leading biomedical engineers at Theradome™ are redefining scalp and hair care by taking clinically proven laser therapy for hair loss out of the clinical setting and into the home.
Theradome™ was born from the passion of CEO Tamim Hamid, a former NASA special projects biomedical engineer and senior executive at Sanmina, the world’s largest biomedical device company. After futilely attempting to resolve his own hair loss with treatments available at the time, he became determined to apply his biomedical and biochemical experience toward designing a hair loss solution that truly worked at a reasonable price. “Our mission at Theradome™ has always been to bring safe and effective hair restoration to consumers that is convenient to use at an affordable price,” he said.
Armed with working knowledge of lasers since his early days at NASA, Dr. Hamid became intrigued with Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and its powerful, biological benefits in treating inflammatory conditions, including hair restoration.
The technical challenges he confronted included how to deliver adequate photochemical stimulation to the scalp without generating heat, and to package it in a way that was more accessible, more affordable and more convenient than currently available. He was surprised, laser hair restoration therapy that was expensive and limited to in-clinic treatments.
In the quest to develop the ideal solution for in-home laser hair regeneration, he assembled global leaders in the sciences of hair restoration and biomedical engineering. The Theradome™ team determined that our laser hair helmet had to be effective and safe, operated wirelessly, easy to use, able to be conveniently used at home and affordable. After five generations of prototype development involving rigorous scientific discipline and extensive testing over the course of seven years, the dedicated team at Theradome™ incorporated the ideal features of into our laser hair restoration device.
As a biomedical science and engineering company based in the Silicon Valley, we pride ourselves in the application of scientific research and precision biomedical engineering that distinguish our laser hair loss device as a true solution accessible to anyone in need of hair loss treatments.
The Theradome™ proprietary technology has demonstrated in clinical trials the ability to stop hair loss, thicken existing hair and grow new hair for a fraction of the price of a visit to a laser hair restoration clinic.
Today, the Theradome™ LH80 PRO is the first FDA-cleared over-the-counter laser hair helmet of its kind, delivering clinically proven, state-of-the-art low level laser therapy directly to the scalp and hair follicles to stimulate cell activity and promote blood flow required to safely and effectively restore hair growth.
The success of the Theradome™ LH80 PRO*, the first FDA OTC cleared wearable laser hair treatment helmet spurs our continued passion to produce innovative next-generation devices that represent breakthroughs in the science of laser hair regeneration.
* The Theradome™ LH80 PRO is the first FDA cleared Low Laser Light Therapy (LLLT) laser helmet for over-the-counter (OTC) treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia to promote hair growth in females with female pattern hair loss (FPHL) on the Ludwig and Savin Hair Loss Scale I-II; Fitzpatrick Skin Types I-IV.
